lyrics

VIOLETTE

Midnight sun sets rays to my eyes
Raindrops wash my features of glass
Half turned to stone I'm alone
Kneeling in the middle of a stream
Weeping voices haunt the hall of mirrors
"Please free me" they plead
But still the edge of the water is so far away
Water lilies smile from mirrored spaces
"Be with us" they entice me
So pure, so lovely they look before they betray

Liquid sunlight every day
Night is falling with the rain
On dark flowers, violet flowers
Mist is rising from the sea
Different sin on every leaf
Of dark flowers, violet flowers

This is all I see and all I feel
All black and white and so unreal
Give back to me my reality
Love and pain and again please colour my dream
Wanna hear the birds and see the sky
Rise from the water and bring back the light
For evermore

A little drop of my violet blood
Melts away, melts away, melts away crystal glass
Mirror will break, the forest will wake
All around, all around, all around green grass
As soon as feel again
My violet, my violet, my violet blood
In the dead of this night
Trees are black, water white
In the dead of this night
Only rain is alive
I'm imprisoned in stone
In the stream all alone
My violet, my violet, my violet is gone
